As Muslims, we know the power of their propaganda despite their lack of credibility, so it is essential that these counter-arguments are carefully tailored because each critic tells a convincing story to non-Muslims, so imagine for those Muslims who are weak in faith.
We worship none but Allah alone. The basis of Islam is submission to Allah, obeying Him, and being free of shirk. I hope that this site will settle the matter for those who are seeking the truth and those who desire to follow the path of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his Companions.
I have tried throughout this blog to mention evidence and even though this means that the articles are relatively long, the important and seriousness of the matter made it imperative that I make this site based on the Bible (when relevant) and Qur’an, since both Muslims and Christians are being deceived by false Christian missionaries concerning not just Islam, but Christian eschatology as well. I have tried my best to deal with these topics.
Let’s now talk about the Islamic view of Jesus (peace be upon him). This article will deal with the specious arguments and the responses to Jesus (peace be upon him) as God, the Son of God, and the third person in the divine trinity.
Muslims believe in one, unique, incomparable God, Who has no son nor partner, and that none has the right to be worshipped but Him alone. He is the true God, and every other deity is false:
And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], “Worship Allah (alone) and avoid Taghut (false deities).” [Qur’an, 16:36] …He is Allah, [who is] One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born. Nor is there to Him any equivalent. [Qur’an, 112:1-4]”O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than him.” [Qur’an, 7:65]
…and the Christians say, “The Messiah is the son of Allah.” That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before [them]. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded? [Qur’an, 9:30]
Allah sent Jesus (peace be upon him) revelation, and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit.
And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous. [Qur’an, 5:46] And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Pure Spirit [Qur’an, 2:87] and [2:253]
Allah tells us in the Qur’an:
O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, “Three”; desist – it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son… [Qur’an, 4:171]
Despite Christians worship of Jesus as God, Son of God and a third person in a divine trinity, Allah orders us not to argue with them except in the kindest way, and we should say to them: Our God and your God is One:
…And do not argue with the People of the Scripture (i.e., Christians and Jews) except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, “We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.” [Qur’an, 29:46]
The Qur’an details many miracles Jesus performed. He cured the sick, lepers, the blind and gave life to the dead and many others. He did all this with the permission of Allah as a consequence of being strengthened with the Holy Spirit:
And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], ‘Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah. And I cure the blind [from birth] and the leper, and I give life to the dead – by permission of Allah. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers. [Qur’an 3:49]
[The Day] when Allah will say, “O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit [i.e., the angel Gabriel] and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind [from birth] and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission…” [Qur’an, 5:110]
The Qur’an declares that the Holy Spirit is none other than Angel Gabriel, who brought down the Qur’an: Say, [O Muhammad], “The Pure Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] has brought it down from your Lord in truth to make firm those who believe and as guidance and good tidings to the Muslims.” [Qur’an, 16:102]
And the Pure Spirit coming down on Laylatul-Qadr (the night of decree) to perform all errands: The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. [Qur’an, 97:3-4]
These miracles don’t assign any divinity to Jesus (peace be upon him), they were miracles which should have caused the Jews to believe in his prophethood. They were to function as a sign, not to demonstrate his divinity as the Qur’an says: Surely in that is a sign for you, if you are believers. [Qur’an 3:49], as these miracles were not performed through his own will.
The Israelites rejected Jesus as their Messiah and considered Gabriel to be their enemy as he played a crucial role in the test when Jesus appeared in the world. They had rejected him because his mother Mary had conceived him without being married [Qur’an, 21:91] and concluded he was born in sin. Gabriel also brought down the Qur’an which confirmed what the Israelites concealed and corrupted in the previous revealed scriptures (i.e., the Torah and Gospel). They declared their hatred for Gabriel:
Say, “Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel – it is [none but] he who has brought it [i.e., the Qur’an] down upon your heart, [O Muhammad], by permission of Allah, confirming that which was before it and as guidance and good tidings for the believers.” Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His messengers and Gabriel and Michael – then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers.[Qur’an, 2:97-2:98]
Their hatred for Gabriel provoked an attack which culminated in the Christian doctrine of the trinity.
People have allowed ignorance and propaganda to fill their mind and heart for so long that the adage that ignorance is bliss could not be farther from the truth. Instead of researching our beautiful religion from authentic sources, they allow themselves to be mislead by false Christian preachers. The aim of this site is to share with the people who want to be here to learn and overcome their ignorance as knowledge is the key to our success.
